INTEGRATED SERVICE FUNCTION OPEN DOOR
Open Door Social Welfare Center...
Open Door Social Welfare Center is the place where we apply and fulfill Christianity to our lives. Christianity says we must love our neighbors just like ourselves. And the bible says especially we must act our loves to isolated and excluded people concretely. This center is for those who want to apply the words to their lives and share their gifted talents with others in this center.
This center has had one principle kept ever since its foundation. It is that anyone can come in, give unconditionally and expect no rewards. So all the services of this center are going on free of charge. This principle means that if you get someone`s love unconditionally, you must give your love to someone else unconditionally. A life expecting no rewards and giving unconditionally is learning the truth in loving neighbors. And also it is knowing the true meaning of living a life. So we acknowledge those who learn, share and serve as welfare spirit for loving neighbors.
This center has been running various services concretely since founded in March 31, 1990. As an Education services, we provide daytime and nighttime schools and a teenagers`mate school in Open door learning place for those who couldn`t learn so far. This services gives teachings such as Korean Language, elementary, middle and high school curriculums to those who couldn`t learn and students are preparing for qualification exams here. Expecially the teenagers`mate school is for students who couldn`t adjust to their schools. And as a Protection services, we provide Open door resting place and House of Tabitha for children who were abandoned or couldn`t go back home because of domestic violences to stay at. This place is a living community of a home concept. Also as a Counseling services, we provide a preventive edcation and treatment center for preventing in advance and also treating afterwards juvenile problems. It treats the emotinal, actional and school life problems of juvenile unadjustments. And a home life counseling place is a synthetic and specialized counseling organization for recovering home functions.
But our Treatment services found out concrete alternatives as we faced our various limits in spite of these services. The juvenile nature cure center is a services which treats juvenile problems by resting in nature and recovering emotionally. ‘You & I Our House’ treats the children who were abused and hurt in hearts. And the juvenile information center provides various synthetic services such as temporary protections or family treatments to young adults who are in conflicts and are wandering around. Open door runs these services consistently, acts loving neighbors concretely and provides good programs for embodying a healthy society to our society.

Have you ever heard about the pains of the children who can't go back home because of domestic violences?
Have you ever seen the children whose parents abandoned them?
Here are the children who are wandering around without sleeping beds and whose tears were dried.
How can they live? Who can they trust?
Let us show them that social consciences are alive and the world is beautiful and let us, God's children, put together our loves and cares for them so that we can prepare a house for them.
If there are the children who are in poor conditions but show pure and clean smiles, the society holds up consciences alive.
And also the society which helps the children hold up purity and innocence is called a healthy society.
Your hearty helps are needed for the children who are recovering their smiles lest they should be in the pains under the social coldheartedness again.
